CCD Images by Doug Askew

Doug Askew took these images using his 15" Obsession on an Equatorial Platform. An HX9 CCD camera was used at prime focus to take multiple short exposures (typically 10-15 seconds). These exposures were then stacked to get the final image. Note that all exposures were UNGUIDED. While Doug used a Dual-axis Platform for these images, similar results can be achieved with a Compact or Single-axis Platform using the same technique -- stacking a series of short (10-30 second) unguided exposures." The images of M81 and M82 both were 15 15second exposures stacked, using the same equipment as was used for the others.
